LiFePO4 packs deliver 3,000-6,000 cycles against roughly 500 for lead-acid, tolerate deep discharge without damage, and need no watering or ventilation. Over a ten-year horizon that usually makes them cheaper per usable kWh despite the higher upfront cost.
