Lithium Cells — LiFePO4, NMC, Prismatic and Cylindrical

The cell determines almost everything about a finished pack: cycle life, safe discharge rate, energy density and cost per kWh. LiFePO4 prismatic cells dominate stationary storage for their 3,000+ cycle life and thermal stability, while NMC cylindrical and pouch cells are preferred where weight and volume matter, such as e-bikes and drones.
